Although we have been taught not to play with our food, I can guarantee you, the pineapple tasted delicious – after the shot. I wanted to shoot a fruit in a way, where the light shines through the inside of it, in a semitransparent style, in front of a black background. I prepared the pineapple for the shot cutting it about 1cm thickness. This is good enough for the light to make it almost glowing when hitting it from an angle about 45° from behind and below. I use a normal reflector with a 15° honeycomb Grid attached to it, so the light is more focused. One Stripbox on each side of the pineapple hits the fruits leaves, so they come visible. I used a 50mm lens for this shot, almost at the same height as the pineapple.
